Wensha Spa, Money Well Spent
I’ve found myself making frequent visit to a really great spa along Timog in Quezon City. My mother and I discovered it by accident one day when she visited her usual spa, they were fully booked that days so we couldn’t be accommodated so we went a couple blocks down and tried Wensha.
Since my “real” work and freelance writing keep me busy, I rarely find time for recreational activities or the like, but after my experience at Wensha I miraculously found my schedule clearing itself every Friday afternoon. It’s funny really, but I’ve had nothing to do every Friday for the past couple of months but go to the spa.
Wensha spa has a long list of very affordable services that range from whole body massages, to hand/foot spas, facials , and body scrubs. Their facilities include shower rooms, wet and dry sauna chambers that can hold up to 15 people at a time, and hot and cold jacuzzi tubs. The great thing about this place is that their services also includes a buffet, no added charges so long as there are no left overs. You can eat your meal before or after or before AND after. I admit to eating twice during one of my visits, I stayed so long that I got hungry by the time I was finished :D. You can stay for a maximum of 8 hours before overstaying fees are charged.
I usually chill out in the sauna chamber with a tub of ice, store bought scrub salts, and protein treatment for my hair (might as well maximize the utilization of heat in there) after which I soak in the hot tub while watching the flat screedn LCD TV mounted on the wall. Now if I can only find out how to waterproof my iPod…
All in all I spend on an average, if I don’t avail of any extra services, Php680 for the facilities, a full body message, and the food. Of course prices will vary depending on the services you avail. Wensha is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s a great way to spend the day with family and friends and even the little ones (children under 12 get in for only Php250). Wensha Spa can be found at Timog corner Quezon Avenue across the circle theater.

..how much is per head and if were 20 person??..are there any discounts??and does boys allowed??..cause it’s my bday…hoping for an affordable budget..

BEWARE - Don’t be fooled with the low price (690 Pesos but you pay another 100 P for aromatic oil). I am from NY and wife is Filipina. We go to Philippines every year and go to “The Spa” massage and they treat you like a king and Queen. I saw on internet about Wensha and was impress with the low price which included buffet and wanted to try. At first we went to Wensha at Quezon City. They were very unprofesional and treated us like low lives. The Jacuzi area was full of green fungus all around. To go to the massage area you have to pass from one end of the restaurant all the way to the other site. Then in massage rooms you smell nothing but food. The message lady was very rough. I asked her to do softer but she was doing it harder and harder and she kept using her elbow. I thought I was tortured. I am glad I got out alive. Then we went to eat and most of the food was cold. I felt I wanted to vomit.
Then we thought we should try the new Wensha at CCP…maybe they different….We went there 6 of us and in the locker room they did not allow me to wear my own short (I always bring my short when I go to spa and never had issues). They wanted me to pay 20 pesos for disposable underwear. I did not want to and dressed up and went out with my two friends. We called my wife and her two friends to come out too. We asked for refund and they wanted to charge us 600 pesos for some of the 3 ladies that already used the shower. I got upset and started yelling at the very selfish lady manager “This is Bullshit” “This is Bullshit” …..that is when they gave us full refund. We went straight to “The Spa” and treated like kings and Queens again. Same price for massage but no food.
If you like to go to a Spa and be treated with respect then go to “The Spa”. If you want to get free food and treated like a low life then you go to Wensha. They expect you to call them Sir and Madam instead of them treating you with respect.

@Louis, do u know that my friend’s mom is a manager at the spa, and she confirmed to us that the laundry of the towels were done once a week only,this is implemented to all branch ,just like sat or sun only ang laundry
so if ull be pampering urself there , maybe ung dirt or even rashes ng ibang people who used those towels ahead of you will transfer to you..anyway, gud luck!

For someone who claims to be from NY, you are one hell of a cheapskate. P690 is unbelievable very cheap already and you are complaining of paying extra P100 or P20. The Spa is at least 3x more expensive. Are you sure you are not just one of those posers from The Spa? You sound like it. You don’t even sound like a foreigner to me.
I’ve gone just once to Wensha in QC. The whole place looks decades-old, but still clean in my opinion. For that price, I say I couldn’t complain. The massage was fine (not the best I had, though), the food was filling, and the staff were respectful.
Still, that said, I don’t think I would ever go back to that place. Not because of the staff or the extra payment (which I didn’t need to pay as I only availed of the basic services). It’s because I felt really exposed. People there are used to getting nude in front of strangers. I’m just too shy to bare it all. I don’t even think I’d go there with my friends. That would be embarrassing! But that’s just me. Others are fine with nudity so that’s cool.
And yes, I’ve been to The Spa. No complaints, but aside from the price and the facilities (Trinoma branch is unquestionably newer than Wensha QC), there’s not much difference. The staff were just as friendly as Wensha’s.
I bet you’re not really from NY, Louis. Either you didn’t know how to understand rules or you were the one who were disrespectful to the staff. Good thing you won’t come back to that place, you cheapskate poser!

You doesn’t sound like a NY-ker but a mere Filipino who pretends to be a socialite. If you grew-up in the States, you would realize that the cost of a spa experience in NY would range from PhP15,000+ to PhP30,000+. So why be bothered by additional PhP100 for the oil?
Oh! You probably a poor ambitious NY-ker, acting like a rich kid in the Philippines. Come on!

LOUIS, KURIPOT kasi hahahaha, definitely filipino’s will not treat you like a king if your not capable of paying 20 pesos, what more for tip? if you want to be treated special you have to pay the price, Philippines is not NY, your arrogant attitude will not take its effect here!

i’ve been to wensha-pasay branch twice and i can say that my experience there was more than OK.place is clean.food was good.i do like their shabu-shabu.staff was professional and the massage was relaxing.the lady actually lifted me up and half bended my body!! haha!! so at 690, what more can u ask for?for a price like that..definitely a great deal i should say =)

Been drinking a lot of HATERADE lately??? BTW your English sucks for a New Yorker, plus you sound like someone who works for “The Spa” commenting like that… I agree with these guys and gals your a freaking poser!!! It’s as cheap as it can get for massage, food, sauna and steam rooms, with hot and cold jacuzzi plus you get to sleep after the massage for atleast 4 to 6 hrs… $24.00 tops!!!
